In its ongoing pursuit of reducing energy consumption, Arkay Packaging’s Roanoke plant now has 100% LED lighting. The company has literally lit up its facility, shining a light on its dedication to sustainability and how seriously it takes its role.
 
CEO Mitchell Kaneff says Arkay Packaging has always been proud of its allegiance to social responsibility and improving the eco-profile of its product packaging. In addition to several notable certifications and endorsements, Arkay has achieved CarbonNeutral status and continues to be a collaborative partner, focusing on groundbreaking and ecologically sound technologies.
 
In its packaging, Kaneff says Arkay seeks out and sources sustainable raw materials wherever and whenever possible, and in its continuing effort to contribute to sustainability, Arkay added a white roof to its Roanoke facility when they doubled its size years ago. And now Arkay’s 140,000 square foot state-of-the-art Roanoke plant glows with all-LED lighting, a testament to Arkay’s resolve to improve the ecosystem – and its mission to lead by example.
